Kręgi (Circles)
Community circles are rapidly gaining popularity as a means for like-minded individuals to come together, collaborate, and share experiences.
However, a significant challenge within this space is the lack of a centralized platform for creating, discovering, and efficiently managing these circles.
Goal
Creating an app that helps people find social circles and engages them to use the whole potential of the app.
Team
UX Designer (me), two fullstack developers.
Why
we're designing this app?
01. Scattered Communities
Currently, community circles are scattered across platforms, making it difficult to find and engage with them effectively.
02. Inefficient Group Management
Organizers lack tools for effective group management, leading to reduced participation.
03. Growth Potential
We aim to provide a one-stop app that simplifies the process, connecting individuals with communities and helping organizers foster thriving, engaged groups.
Personas
After analyzing the data gathered from user interviews, I identified two main characteristics of potential users and created two sets of personas. These personas help to illustrate users’ requirements and challenges, offering valuable insights into their customer-related concerns.

User journey map
Goal: Find a group of people to share deep conversations.

1st round of testing: Low fidelity prototype
I created a form and conducted early-stage, unmoderated testing with 4 participants, (A-D) aged 24 to 53, consisting of 2 men and 2 women. The form included a link to the prototype and a list of 4 tasks with related questions.

Insights
01
3 out of 4 participants stated they would like to decide who enters the group.
02
2 users found it difficult to use a slider to determine members' number in filters.
Iterations
We conducted the first round of testing on a lo-fi prototype to swiftly identify the issues users face while conducting main flows, such as searching for circles.

Insights
01
9/9 participants completed all 6 tasks.
02
8/9 participants stated that "My circles" card is clear and provides all important information.
03
5 participants stated they struggled to find requests to join the group.
04
Some participants were confused about the lack of notifications.
05
6 participants suggested adding questionnaires and materials to the circles' groups.

The app's value proposition lies in its seamless ability to search for community circles in a specific area, allowing users to filter results by gender, the number of members, and even input a specific address.

In response to users' valuable feedback, we embarked on enhancing our app by incorporating additional functionalities, evolving it into a comprehensive, all-in-one solution.

Color palette & typography
In selecting the color palette and typography for our application, we intentionally opted for a dark mode, aiming to recreate the ambiance of evening conversations by the campfire.

We've chosen the Inter font for its simplicity and readability, ensuring an enjoyable user experience.

I aimed to design a logo that would capture the ambiance of friendly gatherings while conveying a sense of trust.
